PDA Stats

Has anyone used the PDA stat program? Any thoughts on it? The cost of PDA's has come down so much recently I was thinking about breaking down and buying one. Sure would be nice to not have to tally all of my stats at the end of a weekend.

We used them on Rival the last two years. They're pretty nice, though I've always made someone else actually input the stats. I have a palm with the program on it that you can use to see what it's like if you want.

Can you input the stats to excel or something similar?

You can export the stats in a csv file, which can be imported into excel. It takes some formatting work but it's definitely doable. The only issue I ever had with it is if there are too many people on the team, it will run out of memory or something and it will cut off some of the data. This happened two years ago, we had over 25 on the team.

They can be exported into excell. I don't do the formatting myself, but I gather it is not extraordinarilly difficult. Purdue men does it, and it's quite nice. You get all the side stats too (completion percentages, et cetera). I also run some sneaky analyses on the stats to come up with something I call "adjusted plus/minus", that correlates very well with my perception of who is valuable and who isn't.
